Circuit of Wales, UK Biggest Motorsport Investment Complex Proposal

It has been announced an ambitions new project in South Wales, where after completion it is envisaged that it could create up to 6,000 new jobs at the Blaenau Gwent area and surroundings.

This project follows on from a recent formed scheme and business "The Heads of the Valleys Development" to finance and implement a valued £250m to create a "Circuit of Wales" development.

This new development project contains new technology development aspirations and goals in terms green technology as a way to create and test new knowledge and research.  The plan will utilise low carbon automotive technology and derivatives produced from the Automative Industry in partnership with Universities and other relevant knowledge transfer partnerships schemes. Furthermore, the Circuit intends to become an international motor sports setting for events and tests.  The return on investment  will be in the region of around £50m a year directly linked to one of Wales’ most deprived areas.

In conjunction with the main track, it is also planned an international kart track and motocross track. Just during construction phase the plan also details a prediction to create up to 3,000 jobs.
